Our Mission at FCFI is to develop a fellowship of strong believers to send out as laborers in the field. FCFI's desire is to unify these strong believers into a network that encourages and equips for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. It is our hope that if we follow the command from our LORD in Mark and Matthew to go into the world then and only then will we show the love of God. A strong body is developed by all of the body parts participating for the common goal as in Ephesians 4:11-16 "Sending laborers around the world armed with tools to win the lost and raising them up to reap for Christ." |

Missions for FCFI: Faith Christian Fellowship International
Rev. Paul Whitley The New Year is upon us and we have much to do. The vision that I had of my responsibilities when I took on the position of Director of Missions for FCFI included a lot of travel in order to encourage, exhort, empower and equip our missionaries around the world. Last year in the Fall, I was asking the Lord for specific direction in regard to part of the vision and I heard Him say that He would reveal to me particular missionaries and national leaders to whom He would send me. I began to contact many men that I have ministered to in the past but have not seen in some time. Like Paul’s vision of the Macedonian, I began to receive replies from them saying, “Come over and help me” Parnu, Estonia. Kaluga, Russia. Sochi, Russia. East Demarara, Guyana. Comas, Peru and others. Places to where my steps are being directed. Lonely places off the beaten path to sons not stadiums. One thing that all these men have in common is needing encouragement because they are under attack and are all men that influence other men. I will use Sochi, Russia as an example. In this town in southern Russia lives a man who is developing a center to minister to broken and burned out pastors. He works with an organization of over 1400 churches and just this past year, they have had over 100 pastors give up. We have been invited to come and lift up the arms of these precious men who may have given up but God hasn’t given up on them. We reach one man who in turn reaches hundreds of others. I think this is a pretty good investment. In Comas, there is a youth pastor (who is not young himself) who belongs to a denomination which does not believe as we do about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This pastor is not only influencing the youth of his own church, but is effectively reaching out to thousands of youth all over the city of Lima, a city of over 4 million! His denomination is coming against him due to his stance of the Holy Spirit and he needs encouragement and counsel. I am leaving this month to spend time with him to encourage him. There are other stories like these of men who really need our help. And where there are pastors who need encouragement and ministry, there are wives as well. FCFI needs your help. Bishop Cummings has heard from the Lord that we need to practice the art of sowing into the Kingdom so that we will experience signs and wonders in FCFI. The signs and wonders are to confirm the Word that we preach so that we can reach the world for Jesus Christ. I know that we are challenged all the time to sow (translated “to give”) and many of us are sitting at the brink of Faith Christian Fellowship International extinction as a church or ministry unless our people begin sowing more. Therefore, any plea from anybody about giving (translated “to sow”) tends to fall on deaf ears. “We would love to brother, but we just can’t at this time.” I once had a church who stopped supporting our ministry at the tune of $250/month. This left quite a hole in our budget and I was sharing the predicament with my pastor and his wife. She told me something that I have never forgotten. She said, “Paul, your income is not derived from what others give to you, but what you give to God.” How true and revealing these words were. Anytime I get to a place where I am hurting financially, I find that as I give more, God returns more to me. I am encouraged by 2 Corinthians 9: 10 which gives the results of a cheerful giver. Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. The way I understand this verse is that because I sow into the Kingdom, the Lord will supply not only my needs (bread for food), but will also multiply and increase the needs for ministry (seed for sowing and the harvest of my righteousness). Therefore, I would like for us to set our hearts to accept and act on this passage. One way to do this is by asking God to reveal to us how He would have us be involved in what FCFI is wanting to do this year around the world.
One of the ways that we can be involved on
both an individual level as well as a corporate level is to give our
people an opportunity to participate in the mission outreaches this
year. We presently have another extreme global opportunity in Peru in
July 2008. We need to finish the orphanage as well as minister
medically in the villages and to do evangelism in the cities. I also
will be making several trips to Europe and Russia and would love to have
some of The Lord had revealed several global ministry opportunities that He wanted me involved in 2008. The costs of accomplishing these was astronomical and beyond my personal capabilities. I had committed to these and immediately, I had two churches drop support amounting to over $350/month! At first, I was devastated and tempted to begin worrying and backing up from my commitments. Then, I resolved in my heart that God knew these churches were in financial trouble and would not be able to keep up with their commitments even before He led me into these areas. Therefore, I needed to keep my trust in Him and not look to my circumstances. This is what I resolved to do. I would like to challenge each of you to resolve the same thing. Be obedient to the vision that God has put in your heart and not look to the left or the right but only straight ahead to Him. Personally, I have upped my giving for 2009 even though it appears my support is decreasing because I know that not only do I have bread for food, but He is multiplying my seed for sowing and increasing the harvest of my righteousness.
Rev. Paul Whitley
We have three trips planned for 2010. On each trip we will be working with Pastor Antonio Rojas in Callao, Peru. Pastor Rojas is the pastor of Cono Norte Callao and has raised up five churches with a total membership of over 1500. He also is the Founder of Corazones Felices (Happy Hearts) and operates weekly 18 Kids Clubs through which he ministers to children from the poorest environs of Callao. Our teams help with the ministry to the children, evangelism in the neighborhoods, construction of houses and Sunday School rooms, training of leaders through seminars and conferences, edifying the church through anointed preaching and teaching, and ministry to youth through conferences. We invite you to join us as we bring the message of Jesus Christ to both Christians and non-believers in May, July and October of 2010.
For more information, contact Luane at (678) 521-6643 or luane.thomson@gmail.com or Paul at (678) 371-1452 or itd7773@aol.com. You will need a valid passport and up to date shots for travel to Peru. An application packet and $50 application fee is required. The forms may be found in the Missions Manual which can be downloaded below.
